Open Educational Resources are gaining traction in higher ed because they lower the cost of attendance for students and enable faculty to fully customize course content. A growing body of research also demonstrates that use of OER is associated with improved student outcomes and retention. This presentation will consider how ideas from the open education movement intersect with creative instructional design.
